Make sure you have the following items so you can continue with the quest without any delay:

Big Fan of Magic:
- blue gemstone x1
- wind stone (bought at the secret room where the ninja job change takes place in Amatsu) x1
- fan of cat monster/ folding fan of cat ghost (Civil Servant/ Mao Guai drop at Louyang Dungeon) x1

Huge Spray of Flowers:
-spray of flowers x25
-thin stem x5 (Parasite drop at umbala field 03)

Process:
1. Go to Payon with your ingredients for Big Fan of Magic. Talk to Capt. Feles (cat NPC) at Pay_arche.gat 65.142 near Payon cave. Give him blue gemstone x1, wind stone, and fan of cat monster x1 to make the Big Fan of Magic.

2. Once done with the Big Fan of Magic, you may sit and wait for the cherry blossom tree beside Capt. Feles to glow (make sure your effects are turned on so you'll see it glowing) and when it does it will drop spray of flowers along the area. Be as nimble as you can before they disappear. There are also cherry blossom trees around Prontera (near the fountain and the stat reset NPC) and they give more branches than the ones in Payon.
note: it sometimes takes 10-20 mins. before the trees glow again @_@

3. Once you have collected 25 pieces of spray of flowers, talk to him again and tell him that you want to bind them, and he will give you Huge Spray of flowers for every 5 pcs. of spray of flowers + 1 pc. of thin stem. You'll need 5 Huge Spray of Flowers in order for you to create a Perisca. Don't worry about the gift wrapper, the Girl with a sigh NPC in Lutie will be the one giving you that.

4. Go to Lutie if you have 5 pcs. of spray of flowers. Talk to Girl with a sigh at xmas 172 133 and she will ask you what spring is like. Show her the huge spray of flowers x5 and she will give you gift wrapper. Talk to her again so she can create your Perisca. And there you have it! /no1

-Louyang Dungeon: premium service (lol that's the fastest way ever-- believe me)
-Umbala Field: Morroc > Comodo > Umbala > down > down > right (or walk through the east of comodo dungeon according to chorvaqueen).

Suspension of classes in all levels

Finally! Our college have allowed us to leave before 12pm! I thought they were going to do it again just like before :|

It was at around 10:30 am when DepEd and CHED released an announcement of suspension of classes for all levels. The news broke out to my Facebook neighborhood at almost 11am. But our college released us at around past 11. On my way home I had a hard time walking because of the strong winds that kept blowing my umbrella.

It sucks because we made an effort to go to school despite the winds and rain (and flood in some areas like the ones in my classmate's) and then they will only announce once the students have already left their homes. I must say it's one heck of a pain in the ass not just for us students but for the parents as well. Well of course you wasted money for transportation and for nothing.

I pity those people who went to school today and got wet. I hope this won't happen again :|

The media is late again. DepEd says they won't be announcing if there are classes or none in a site I saw earlier. The new media on the other hand is useful, it was via internet I learned immediately of the suspension of classes.

I hope this won't happen again. @_@

Revamped Blasphemy 2008- 2010?

I know some of my guildmates are dismayed by the fact that our beloved guild, which is turning 2 this November 5 will be disbanding.

I myself don't know how to react at this... when our guildmaster, Elvin_Neal talked to me about it.... I had the urge to cry, to fight...

Why must we stop? disband the 2nd family we've known for throughout the years we've been in pRO Valhalla?

I couldn't even ever leave the guild.. even if I wanted to... attempted to do so for a lot of times...

I'd always end up coming back...

Why?..

Because they're my second FAMILY.

Its from them where I get my inspiration to draw Ragnarok Online characters, fan arts, etc. Being in the guild means a lot to me. Spending time with them really means a lot because I never had the chance to have a big group of friends caring for me until I joined the guild...

From sieges, to weddings and guild EBs, all of this moments are very precious and meant cherishing.

We started with a group of friends, from Ozine family mainly then branched out as we went along our days in pRO Valhalla. We we're not known yet.

I could still clearly remember when we used to mention the guild name to other players of pRO Valhalla... they always had the reactions of scratching their heads, trying to figure out if there's really a guild called Revamped Blasphemy in Valhalla. But now.. mention the name and people will say "Oh I know that guild... blah blah blah"... ever since we've joined the Agit Lords, the guild regained a lot of publicity and such... and it also opened up to a lot of issues in the game... creating havoc and misunderstanding between guildmates.

And now, we're at the point of saying goodbye, coz today.. would be our last siege together. RB would still exist knowing that it will be at Agit Lords but it won't feel the same....

and LU Live 2010 as well...

I stumbled across this manga called "Cat Street" while browsing my list of blogs that I follow.. and this one came from my classmate Kara.

Cat Street started off with the story of Keito Aoyama, a child superstar who then suddenly disappeared from the limelight due to an incident with the show she was on. For seven years she locked herself from the world, moping about what happened... until she met this mysterious man who showed her and told her to go to the school called El Liston, a free school in their community. From there she met an old classmate Taiyou and then later on Rei, Momiji and Kouichi who became her friends. And through them she finds herself breaking free from the wall she created between her and the world.

The plot was really good because its really unique and it was really a page turner-- that I was able to finish it within a day (started at around 2pm and finished at 9pm) XD. And oh, did I mention they have a live action series/ jdorama? Well I was really surprised but then it makes me wanna watch the whole thing right after this midterms week. I've really learned a lot from it and I think its message would be much like the one sent out by Skip Beat! (Hint: it has something to do with forgiving oneself and starting all over again... )-- okay I just gave you not a hint anymore lol!

A Chit Chat with Mr. Ronnie Del Carmen of Pixar's UP

There is something good that happened to me anyway earlier this day. Yep. I've got to meet Ronnel Del Carmen on an animation talk awhile ago in our school in the De La Salle- College of St. Benilde's SDA Building's Green Room. He's the guy from Pixar Animation Studios who's responsible for the wild and adventurous story of the animated movie UP.

He talked about stuff they do in Pixar studios. That its not always fun when you're an animator. Why? That's cause there are some things you gotta solve. Problems on how they could make the scene/ character/ storyboard better. And not all solutions are always right. Yes, according to him... it could be disheartening but he said the way out of quitting their project is to remind themselves of this "Trust the Process". After all, when UP was finished, it was all worth it-- All those 4 years of production.

He also said that "If you're never prepared to be wrong, you can never come up with anything original". Which is really true. If you are never prepared for their criticisms (your fellow artists and such), you can never come up something great at all. That's why we have to make use of their comments, suggestions, criticisms. As he said it "Making mistakes is the way of learning".

Also he left us this quote of Walt Disney, which pertains to one of the topics he talked about in the Green Room: storyboarding:

"In our studio, we don't write our movies, we draw." -Walt Disney

Can You Feel The Heat?

As of now I am still waiting for my BAMBOO tablet from my aunt and cuz from US and I'm dying to have it now. Really I do. I can't wait to remake my blog and fully live its blog title which is "daily doodles".

Anyways, the climate is getting unstable every year due to global warming... And I could really feel the impact everyday as I go home from school. The scorching heat of the sun never fails to give me my daily dose of headaches. I don't know-- but I couldn't stand it anymore and that's why I'm asking for another Earth Hour this year. @_@

Here's the poster of last year's Earth Hour. Its theme is Vote the Earth which kinda relates to last year's election in States wherein Obama pulls it off at the last minute creating a new memorable moment in the history of United States. But since its about the Earth-- the ones who made this event possible thought of something that coincides with the election and where EVERYONE gets to VOTE. And yes a lot of people did. Over hundreds of millions people in 400 cities in 88 countries switched off their lights for an hour and voted for Earth. Isn't that amazing?

But hey! good news, this 8.30pm, Saturday 27th March 2010, will be another Earth Hour! So lets help Mother Nature and Vote Earth again this year!

Oh yeah I came across this during our discussion in DESNCON class :P

And btw, their site is really cool. I even made my own lantern. (I've been part of this Earth Hour campaign

ever since it started and me and my friends have never missed a year without turning off the lights for one hour!)

I've recently discovered a tutorial site with a help of a friend that caters to the needs of those people who wanna learn Photoshop badly. Yes. From the basic editing of a photo to making a website through Photoshop-- its really guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing and start playing around with your Photoshop once again!

They started out way back on December 23rd, 2007 and a lot of people head on to their site to learn more about these stuffs, which I really find educating. Hell yeah, everything concerned with my ex ended already, yesterday night. And now, let's make those creative juices flowing coz we're starting up this short animation for pRO (my chosen project) in my 2DAnim1 class in DLS-CSB.

Meet Heather Damon (she's supposedly the sister of Cecil Damon-- I just made it up lol. I wanna continue the story though). And yup, just like her elderly sister, she's a priestess in training and aims to meet her sister in BIO labs someday-- face to face.

the way of the PVP room

Honestly I'm no pvp person.. but a friend told me that there would be an upcoming 'friendly' match this siege on Saturday between my guild and theirs... I got worked up and suddenly went practicing in the pvp even if I'm just a level 74 (trapper type) sniper.

I haven't been leveling up these days.. I was broke due to finals and other stuffs I'm busy at. Other things I now prioritize than playing Ragnarok Online. I needed to catch up on my drawing and coloring skills as well. But then.. sometimes.. I feel left out in the game... even during RO talks in guild eb's. I read stuff but not all. I know stuff but not everything about RO. Sometimes I feel useless in the game. Sometimes, I just use the thought "at least you get to help your guild during WOEs by setting up traps" to keep me in the game. But for me.. how am I supposed to.. last if I kept feeling this way?

This isn't my first time. It happened a lot of times.. and sometimes I end up going inactive or almost on the verge of quitting if it weren't only for my friends... especially our guild master who coaxes me.

And sometimes I forget his advices.. those advices that gave me hopes back then.

Why am I feeling this way.

Holiday Rush

Tight schedules, christmas parties here and there, choir practices, never ending projects and plates and my irrational side... they all keep me from posting worthy-to-read stuff here. I don't know. Recently.. I've been writing some blog posts here.. but I never had the guts to publish them. Maybe a part of me wants to stop letting everyone I feel about the things happening to me anymore.. maybe... just maybe..

Anyways.. December was really nice. Especially in my school. The positive and warm feeling I'm getting right now helps me a lot on my course... especially on my subjects. I am pretty much inspired to do a lot of artworks right now. Its like inspirations are overflowing everywhere XD. I do hope in the next days I'll be able to channel this out in the right way. :)

Networking sites got flooded with word of congratulations for Philippines' Manny Pacquiao as early as 1:45 PM. Livestream video on internet helped a lot in letting everyone updated in the match even though there are livestream shows in local cinemas in Philippines as early as 9 AM of November 15, 2009.Pound for Pound boxers, Pacquiao (in red shorts) and Cotto (in white shorts) faced off at MGM Grand and made a history. The match ends at around 12th round when the referee stops the fight with 2:05 remaining, making Manny the winner of the bout.

LU Live 2009

My recent weekend was probably the best ever ones I had in my entire life. Last November 7 and 8, gamers from all over the Philippines gathered at the World Trade Center at Buendia to be part of LU Live '09.

As early as noon of November 6, LU fans were already lined up outside the gates of WTC to take part in the Early Bird Promo. Well I was fascinated and I was really amazed at the patience of these people just for that. XD Talk about LU fandom.

Of course LU Live '09 wouldn't be complete with games, events and LU City... and this year, my guild, Revamped Blasphemy was lucky enough to be part of it.

The much awaited long weekend has come again! After so many weeks of fully loaded schedule... My body and mind never felt this lighter.

LU Live 2009 is just a week far and so far so good we're almost done with the stuff we need for our booth.

Tales of the Manuvu

Yesterday I went to CCP to watch "Tales of the Manuvu", a ballet about the tribe of Manuvu (Manobo) and also a requirement for our PARTDES class (which is considered as our make-up class as well). And its really been awhile since I went there... I don't really know... but I felt relaxed being there even if I'm all alone. Must be its my only break from the work for LU Live 09, schoolworks and house chores. @_@

Anyway its pretty cool and I even thought if I got lost cause the opening scene was not that ethnic... err.. or maybe its just me who couldn't connect the first part of the show to the Manuvus. The first part was like a ball... and the dancers were in their gowns and all.. I was really asking myself 'what's the connection?'

But anyway, the second half of the show was the real thing. The performers wowed the audience with their sleek ballet moves, flashy modern outfits (still looks tribal only in a fashionista and Lady Gaga style), and the modern- ethic vocals. Everyone was like applauding and shouting "Bravo". Well I couldn't help it either. I love the concept, the way they did their props and costumes. Plus the dancing is really great! I am particularly amazed with Oggasi's partner.. (Idk her name though) but she was like, dancing with heels! Cool really.

Cousins night out with my childhood best friend

....Well I had problems with my money after watching the Tales of the Manuvu since the ticket is still pricey despite the student discount I had, so I was left with no choice but to go to SM MOA so I could go home with my cousins and my brother.

When I got there, they haven't started playing Bowling since there is an on-going tournament and there are only few lanes available for the customers to play with. So after 15 minutes of waiting, they finally got to play, and I just took pictures for them and cheered as well. I was envy the whole time coz I don't have money and I can't play. wah.

When they finished, we strolled at the San Miguel by the Bay and took pictures. There I felt the Christmas season feeling and it reminded me of what happened last year when me and my grade school batch mates were there.

I was the last one in our group while we're walking towards the mall when my best friend (let's name him "M") called out my name and when I looked up, he hugged me tightly. That was my first hug from him after 13 years being best friends.

M was with us that night and he kept on talking to me.. non-stop. I just responded to him with a few nods and sentences because everything feels awkward. I couldn't help reminiscing that memory and comparing it to what is happening. Maybe his feelings for me were still there... but then, mine vanished.--- weh, wait. Enough of that crap... @_@ where was I anyway?

Oh right, there. After strolling along the bay, we decided to eat/ drink... and my cousins decided to go to Bed Scene, a bar near La Mesa Grill and Gerry's Grill behind SM MOA. Its my first time to be in a bar so I was thrilled when we got inside. Of course, people were like staring at us coz our group looked kinda young to be in there, but hey only two in our group are minors.

So there, my cousins treated me dinner and I drank two bottles of San Miguel Light XD. (weeee). On our way home... ummm M treated me the shuttle fare and well he was sleepy so I let him lean his head on my shoulder (since I'm sleepy as well) but then as I was about to close my eyes, I heard my cousins chuckling and teasing us so I opened my eyes and pretended I was looking at the floor or something else. M also woke up and decided not to lean on my shoulder at all. We ended up chatting even though we're pretty sleepy. And got home without our parents noticing me and my brother drank XD.

The Secret to Teen Power

I don’t know how would I even describe this day. I didn’t had much of a sleep ever since I was preparing for my debut, and I’m afraid this will continue til November 7 strikes. Plus, my mind's really confused with all the works and deadlines I have right now... I can't really concentrate on my family either. @_@

But then, what really made me relax even just a bit was seeing oniichan wearing rimmed glasses (err..actually no lenses at all) which really looks cute on him. And then I found the urge to say those three words again.. and I did.......... though it felt wrong... again. I tried to imitate what Taylor Swift did in her MTV of "You Belong With Me" and I managed to make him smile sweetly (yes, I can say I could really die that moment-- but then I couldn't anymore....) I may have an explanation for this one, but then I'll keep it for myself for now.

Also I happened to recieve a parcel from my Tita Apple and when I saw the book she sent me, I was jumping up and down like crazy. What's the book you say? Its "The Secret to Teen Power" by Paul Harrington... (self-help bookby Rhonda Byrne, author of "The Secret", for teens)

Well I absolutely loved it coz I was really asking for a book (in one of my 18 wishes) XD Plus, its a great way to unwind and entertain myself when I'm on the road and got nothing but my mp3. And yeah, I got another journal! yay! X3 I will totally flood it with stuff I won't be mentioning here. wehehe... and memorable pictures as well :) starting from my 18th bday.

Oh yeah, I was pretty 'emo' night so I wrote another freeverse poem... for the guy I like... :)

How I died when i saw his gift. At first I was thrilled at the sound of someone actually making an MTV just for me. But when I saw the 2nd scene... tears rolled down my cheeks and I sobbed hysterically... it continued as I watched the whole thing.

Why? Why her? Why is there no part of me.. or even a picture of me in that MTV. For whom is that MTV anyway? For me or for her? And considering the song, which is I Miss You by Incubus I think?-- who is he really missing? me or her? x_x crap. excuse me for being emo-- whatever you think I am now.. but hey, it really offended me..

At the same time, it made me think about what happened to us these past few days..

I don't wanna mention the whole detail here, but then he made it clear that I'm still a stranger to him despite the advices, the help I gave him for almost 3 years we've been good friends. That he'd forgotten my existence.. or must have been treating me like someone else when we're chatting in YMessenger. @_@ Like what he requested if he could make it in LU Live... It feels like he wants to do that to her, and he's just channeling his feelings for her..to me. It really SUCKS!

If ever that happens, or if ever he tries to make a close contact to me, its as if my whole body would move automatically and avoid him. I hate it. Seriously.

I swear I could have cried if we watched his gift to me together here in Manila. We could have even had a quarrel if that happened. But then good thing it wasn't like that. My sarcasm last night wasn't even noticed. See how insensitive he is? But I'm quite sure.. my ego is already tired of this.. we haven't mentioning to him what we actually feel towards the situations happening around us. All we did was listen to his rants.. comment a little but hell we don't even care that much. Its like a man growing tired of his habit. I might really disappear after this.. disappear from his side.. without him knowing it.. or even disappear to everyone as well in shame.

As you can see Ondoy just left the country, but there is another reported Super Typhoon by the name of Peping whose tail/body will hit Metro Manila. Critical hour will be at 9pm. (yep. we're pretty much paranoid now because of the flash flood that happened when Ondoy was here.. so we're stacking up food and rations right now-- its now or never). Winds and Rain will be stronger than Milenyo. To everyone residing in the Philippines, especially to those who will be affected by the Super Typhoon I suggest you start stacking up canned goods, water for drinking and washing, ready to eat foods, blankets, first aid stuff, candles, batteries, emergency lights and flash lights. Charge your cellphones because Meralco will shut down areas tonight.

Ondoy: The Aftermath

"I don’t know how to say this, but what happened to me over the weekend was traumatic and served as a lesson as well. Last September 26 (Saturday), in the midst of the typhoon Ondoy, our house was submerged under a neck-deep flood for several hours. And take note, every scene happened too fast that I could really say I’m still in the state of trauma right now. We made an effort to save our furniture and appliances in the nick of time, but sadly, not everything were saved. Our ration of rice was left soaked in the flood and only later on did we remember where it was kept. Shoes, cockroaches, plastic wares, debris of wood and leaves floated around the whole vicinity of our small subdivision. The scenery outside was more catastrophic. Strong winds and heavy rain poured, people were having a hard time crossing the flooded streets of our village, our pet dogs whined loudly for help, there was no electricity, no food, nothing at all.

We barely made the day, if it weren’t for mom who cooked lunch earlier and had rations of err… junk foods (that were supposed to be for the dance practice that day), we would have been starving to death during the storm. At lunch we hungrily feasted on last night’s rice (keeping the newly cooked rice for supper) and unseasoned chicken; drank on clean water at least.

At around 6 pm, water levels slowly dropped and we were able to see the ground again. But the scene was like this: our tiled floors were covered with mud, furnitures and appliances all stacked up in both floors of the house, debris lay scattered everywhere, a strong stench of the creek hung in the air, our 2^nd floor of the house looked more like a bodega or a warehouse because everything looked cramped up, plants covered with mud and cockroaches hung in the leaves and stems, centipedes, leeches and snails were on the walls and shoes that are scattered outside. It was really an ugly sight. It was around 10 or 11 pm that we managed to clean up at least the floor tiles. But if you look at our house in whole, everything is really a huge MESS!—probably it would take days or a week before we could finally restore our house.

There are some things I managed to notice during the flood… unforgettable scenes that disturb me up until now. In the midst of the storm, our two dogs, Blues and Mokong went swimming inside the house in search of a dry place to stay. They went through under our staircase but it was only Mokong who managed to make it. Blues was stucked in the small hole made by the table beside the staircase. She was helplessly placing her paws on the table to avoid drowning… her whining reached us and so I quickly waded into the flood to help her get on it, but my brother stopped me since she has this temper towards me. I stood there helplessly staring at her tired and scared face, until moments later; she decided to go back and later on found the steps of our staircase and went up there. The whole scene kinda reminded me of Al Gore’s Inconvenient truth… that scene about the polar bears searching for a sturdy ice cap to land on. Also from the text message from my friend in the Otakuzine forums, the flood in their area rose up to 8 ft. It somehow reminded me of Richard Guttierez’s documentary, Signos, where he took up that issue about floods here in our country; that there will come a time that it will really happen to us. And it felt like it already did that time and it made me cringe in fear when I realized that.

Up until now, the memories brought by the typhoon Ondoy remain etched in the wounds and scratches I got during the incident. I do hope this would deserve as a lesson not just for me but for everyone as well. That people will take action to the environmental problems we are facing now before it’s too late and that we would realize how tremendous Mother Earth’s wrath can be."

But you know, we were far more luckier than those people in the cities of Marikina and Rizal. Also I'm glad one of our batchmates in my college is found now (yep he's alive! hurray!), our guildmates who are residing in Quezon city, Marikina and Rizal are alive and safe as well... but I really feel bad about the victims...especially in Marikina. People are found lying dead in the ground, some in the floating in the rivers and some even died hugging an electric post! T__T I really couldn't sleep well last night thinking about it. I am itching to help or volunteer in anyway I can. (But then I finally did!--well donate only though.. :D I was able to collect 3 big trash bags full of old clothes and donated them to the victims of the Typhoon Ondoy in Sta. Mesa)

Blankets, pillows, medicines and ready to eat foods or canned goods are very much needed. 2nd day of cleaning

Ondoy definitely made a big mess to our country, especially in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Batangas. A lot of people have died due to the flash flood caused by the sudden release of water in the dams such as the Angat dam, etc. The memory of the typhoon is still clear in my head... the aftermath was an ugly sight. According to my aunt who recently visited us just this morning to see how we were doing, said that in their area, a lot of dead bodies covered in mud are scattered on the streets, they even saw this corpse of a grandpa hugging a telephone post.. must have been washed away there, died of heart attack and stiffened to the post. A lot of people are still stranded in the roofs of their houses somewhere in Marikina and Pasig.

I could say we may have been lucky because the flood in our village is just chest-deep compared to those in Marikina and Pasig which really swallowed the 1st floor of their houses.

I wish I could help the victims as well, I really don't know how will I react based on the video footages I saw in the news last night.

So far, this is the only thing I could share to you guys right now. I left the long newsy blogpost in my laptop right now and I'm just renting here in an internet cafe. I do hope things will be okay after this. @_@

If you happen to pass by my blog, no matter what religion are you in, please..please pray for the victims of the Typhoon Ondoy and extend your help to the non-government foundations that are raising funds and rations to give away to the victims. Thank you!

Returning to my home

Nope we're not talking about my home in real life here. We're talking about my home in another realm.

And that's where I met a my 2nd family. The Revamped Blasphemy guild of pRO Valhalla server.

Well I'm just missing them a lot lately and I've got huge breaks so why not use that time rather than ranting in Facebook? :P I'd rather leash my anger to the Anubis in the 4F of the Sphinx.. than ruin the happy atmosphere there (At least my character Nire would pretty much appreciate the increase of experience points while I'm chatting with my guild mates).

Anyways, there I'll probably be back by next week or this Sunday. Also I would like to take the chance to congratulate our GMs Dexter and Nix for representing our guild in the leadership talk hosted by Pinoy Gamers Network for all Guildmasters today. I bet they're having fun right now meeting other GMs as well.^^

back at the beginning

Every successful person has a story behind their achievements and road they paved to success. Mine started all the way back from my middle school days... and today I got that chance to revisit the place where everything started.. From little dreams, to a wonderful future I'm living in right now.

It's been a while since I visited the place. It wasn't pretty much the same as it was before, but the aura of home and comforting feeling is still there. I had the chance to visit it today, due to an errand my mom asked me to do.

I got there at around 11 AM, and had the chance to talk to our principal (who was there for a really long time now). She was surprised and happy at the same time because I dropped by there without any notice or any occasion at all and its been a while since she saw me in her office (haha. Well I used to be called there for briefing in some art contests I joined back then and yeah.. I had issues back then... I was a bad kid before. I committed mistakes too). I told her recent news about me, how am I doing in my studies, in college, our family, my brother, the batch.. my career. She was grinning widely at my stories. I felt really happy to share her all these stories... I don't know but its written all over my face as well.

But then you know, there's this another feeling deep inside of me which I can't really understand. It's like.. I wanted to do something for my school. Like a volunteer work or something... to show my gratitude for teaching me the values I still have up to today. It's like I wanted to be a teacher or something after graduating in college... like take it as a part time job as thanks to my mentors and peers I've met here. Also, I was grinning the whole time while talking to my former principal because I remembered the last time I was there in her office.. not because of any contest or bad stuff I did at school.. but because it was our graduation day (from 6th grade)... and from there she told me those words that kept ringing into my ears whenever I get praised for my works... and such...

"Never forget to look back to where and how you started...even if you're in the top. Keep your feet always in the ground."

I've always kept this in my mind because I had issues with my talent before... Well.. I was an airhead (and yep, a hint of it is still evident in my current personality)... but then, these words served as my chains... my yardstick.. to discipline myself... I really took it at heart since those words will help me developing myself and the way how people view my artworks and interpretations.

The "teacher" plan really would be a fine idea (even to my parents...) since I had an experience already teaching part time (2 summers back at high school) to children ages 4-10 back at my piano school.. and I really love teaching kids and sharing my knowledge to them (especially to my lil cousins who like anime and to my friends who approach me whenever they have something to ask about photoshop). And take note, I really don't care earning here.. but then, now, money is needed... but I don't care how big I'd earn or what.. since I'm planning to take it as a part time job in the near future...

And here's a quote to end this blogpost,

In order for you to retain what you've achieved already, just continue loving it, and it will love you back ;) And most of all, enjoy it! Nothing beats a job well done with a heart (or love) all poured in it.

Blip Vol. 5: The Hot Issue

I can't believe it! It's here! I mean I just got the most awaited ish of Blip (the De La Salle College of St. Benilde's official magazine)... the 5th Volume, entitled: The Hot Issue.

this is me holding the latest issue of Blip Magazine (since I cannot upload here the copy of the cover-- I wasn't able to secure some permission in our school's Student Publication Office or the SPO.)

*What's with it why I am eager to snag a copy of it?
It's because my oh-so-favorite professor (who was my mentor in Philoma/ Philosophy of Man): Mr. Dax Beley got featured as one of the Hottest mentors/professors (and when we mean 'hottest'-- its not just limited to their looks).

..But then this issue turned out to be really great. Cover eagerly caught my eye and as I flipped through every page, your eyes would really stick to it.. the layout and the design was really outstanding this time. Also, they have this section where the school's swimming team strutted their stuff via modeling for the magazine's fashion section. And I really love how they did it. As well as the articles and topics?-- definitely interesting! You would definitely stop on your tracks..eager to flip into its contents. It also has reviews, countdowns, must-do's (for the Benildean students)...almost everything you would most likely see in a typical magazine. Its almost like it could compete to any other local magazines we have for today.

And guess what? I spotted one of the Candy cuties in one of the pages of the magazine! Turns out that he's part of the magazine's writers. Cool huh? :D

UAAP Cheerdance competition results

Theme: "One Color, One Goal".

Hosted by FEU itself.. I believe, this is one of the most interesting season in the UAAP cheerdance competitions.

Universities really did a great job on the props, costumes and of course, the routines..especially the stunts. I pretty much like the costume and routine of Adamson Falcons.. where they appeared to be like warriors. It reminded me of the anime/cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. Their concept of fans as props are really good too. It created a wonderful illusion during the duration of their cheer. Also, the UST Tigers cheerdancers' uniform matched the Adamson's... since they were like warriors too.. only they were gladiators. :) Routine was great! But I felt something was missing in theirs... unlike in the routine 2 years before. UP and UE jived with their idea of using the jeepneys as props. I particularly liked the UP's idea of using the "Ikot" (or the "Toki") as part of their props..since it really shouts the UP Diliman campus pride. Meanwhile DLSU stages up a big Tiki mask and those stuff girls play with in the beach. (idk what is that called haha. sorry).

And what I loved most is the part where all of the universities (well actually their representative male and female cheerdancers) performed with Samsung dancers. It really shouted unity. =) how cool and memorable is that?

And lastly... here's the results everyone was waiting for...

Cherry Blossoms in pRO

It's amazing that things are really changing in the world of Ragnarok... I mean.. look at the sudden appearance of the beautiful cherry blossom trees in the streets of Prontera. Isn't that such a beautiful sight?

well of course.. couples are spotted hanging out under these trees. haha (well... oh yeah.. I was there too..with a special someone :D ). Meet Nire, my huntress (in her new look/hairdo) XD.

I am so thrilled when I saw this. It was the perfect day for me.. to say goodbye (which we still don't know if it's temporary or a permanent one) to the world I loved, to my beloved guild (Revamped Blasphemy) and to the beloved Valhallians... ^_^

Dengue strikes back

Just this morning I received a news from my aunt that my cousin who's currently in Grade 5 has been moved into the ICU due to dengue and that he's already in the 50/50 state. Things are really getting crazy coz once again my parents are becoming paranoid since I caught dengue already and once I get bitten by the culprit... the mosquito with striped legs.. its all over for me.

Please pray for him.. Adrian Nacor.. that he would survive this battle. thank you

And to everyone out there.. since rainy season is back (here in the Philippines)..for good, here's a short summary about the said disease and what you can do to avoid it.

DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER is an acute infectious disease manifested initially with fever.

Transmission

Aedes aegypti, the transmitter of the disease, is a day-biting mosquito which lays eggs in clear and stagnant water found in flower vases, cans, rain barrels, old rubber tires, etc. The adult mosquitoes rest in dark places of the house.

Signs and Symptoms

*Sudden onset of high fever which may last 2 to 7 days.
*Joint & muscle pain and pain behind the eyes.
*Weakness
*Skin rashes - maculopapular rash or red tiny spots on the skin called petechiae
*Nosebleeding when fever starts to subside
*Abdominal pain
*Vomiting of coffee-colored matter
*Dark-colored stools

Prevention and Control

*Cover water drums and water pails at all times to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.
*Replace water in flower vases once a week.
*Clean all water containers once a week. Scrub the sides well to remove eggs of mosquitoes sticking to the sides.
*Clean gutters of leaves and debris so that rain water will not collect as breeding places of mosquitoes.
*Old tires used as roof support should be punctured or cut to avoid accumulation of water.
*Collect and dispose all unusable tin cans, jars, bottles and other items that can collect and hold water.

Yesterday, everything ended... and at the same time, my body nearly collapsed due to a lot of stress. But no worries, I am recovering now. :D

She was no hero for me... but she was an inspiration not just for me, but for all Filipinos out there. She is nonetheless,the late President Cory Aquino (Real Name: María Corazón Sumulong Cojuangco)... the one who stood up before a tyrant.. who became known because of her title as the First Woman President of the Philippines and who started the Edsa Revolution.

Cory Aquino for me is an inspiration, because if it weren't for her, the Philippines would probably still be in the rule of the Marcoses and she just did what's right. Though it is not her job to take over the role played by her husband in the world of politics, given the chance, she took it-- believing that she will make a change... a difference to the Filipino people.

Before, when her husband (Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino) was still alive, she only played the role of a mother and a housewife... never sharing with her husband's limelight. But when he was assassinated, Cory had a chance..and she took it, not as revenge, but to use that chance to be a voice, a light, and a guide for the Filipino people who were at that time, chained by fear.

Despite her shortcomings in her administration, I still look up to her because unlike President Gloria Arroyo, when she had her last SONA, she gave it up fully... because she believes that there are a lot others who deserve a chance in changing this country... and that one day, there would come a time when a great leader will come.

Born on January 25, 1933 and finally died on August 1, 2009 at the age of 79 of cardio-respiratory arrest at exactly 3:18 a.m., saturday at the Makati Medical Center. (source: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/nation/view/20090801-218235/Cory-Aquino-dies)

dragged myself out of my bed this morning... well who would not be thrilled at the idea of sunday classes when you know you're buried under tons of schoolwork that needs to be accomplished in consecutive days? and heck, its the only time of the week wherein i get to go out with my family...

but anyway, i did go to school and it turned out to be pretty much a good day...I was able to pick a 5 peso coin when I rode the fx, though the driver cheated on me on the fare, i didn't care since i got back that lost amount in his fx! hahaha. I arrived in Vito Cruz at around 6:30 AM which is earlier than I expected, so I decided to take a stroll at the CCP grounds. Well it was kinda nice that after all these years, i finally got the chance to go there again... Its been long since I've been there. And the sightseeing I did wasn't bad at all. It made me reminiscent on things I used to do with my family back then when I was a kid. The sight of people dancing and doing aerobics reminded me of my mom who used to join those group of people before she got seriously sick. The people riding bikes and the children playing badminton reminded me of the things we, kids, used to do when our parents are busy doing their own thing and chit-chatting. We used to rent bikes before, but now, there are no more bike rentals anymore around the place. I also got the chance to eat Taho again. This is a soya delicacy--best served when hot and with Sago and syrup. I also got the chance to clear my mind since it was nearby the sea and well.. practice my still-life sketching skills with the scene of the bay.

Then at school, everyone was darned nervous at the upcoming orals... well who wouldn't be? its a memorized speech and the speeches include Shylock from Merchant of Venice, The witch, Romeo and Juliet. I took Juliet's part because I know and I am confident enough I could portray her. And yes, I was able to. When my time came, I stood up there and people were pretty much distracted first since they saw my posture was kind of giving that unconfident feel. But once I straightened up and started to talk, my body began to act and move on its own. There were some actions that I did and pretty much impressed everyone which are I did not planned and included in my rehearsals. I caught their attention and soon everyone was paying attention. Some were... yeah... dumbfounded. My nervousness was overcomed by that tactic I tried earlier... I tried rationalizing on why am I scared and what makes me scared... and yep, it did work and I was able to deliver the speech without any fail.

Then at Hartds, my prof praised me for that unique idea for Ancient Art in which i decided to place a design of a mummified pharaoh and mummified cat (Bastet) into a bag art-- the pharaoh was placed in a skateboarder's backpack which he then found unique. Even the Venus of Willendorf which I made into a maraccas design. :D

So that's how my day went..

Earthling: a documentary

i've just watched this documentary from facebook (posted by one of my friends) and i admit.... i can't take it. after that scene at about after 12 minutes.... tears started falling from my eyes..

one thing i couldn't take is ANIMAL ABUSE/PERSECUTION! especially when it comes to dogs!...

i am greatly disappointed at these people who do this to the creatures.... especially those dogs.... who are homeless and innocent... coz one of my best friends is our family dog (we call him "Mokong" and he's like a Golden Retriever slash Mongrel) and i love to play with him or pat him when i feel depressed. these dogs stays at our side even at our death... I remember that news I saw in the local news... the dog's master got into a motorcycle accident and died a few blocks from home, and guess what? his dog stayed by his corpse even if the rescuers had come to take care of it....

these dogs have rights as well as humans. a right to live. have a good home. be fed. to be treated well-- because like us, they are part of God's creation, and we human beings should be stewards of it.

*sigh* i hope i could eat dinner after watching that... i really couldn't take that scene there... @_@

Its been days since I blogged, and today I've got good topics for everyone. this week has been a hectic one for me but every after classes, my eyes starts to look around... and my mind starts contemplating about what my eyes sees.

Let's start with the LRT. Yesterday, I was about to go home so I decided to buy myself a ticket at the LRT, to my surprise.. the cards' design have been changed; But to me, there's one little detail that never changed. PGMA's face on it. When I saw it I thought "why does she wants her face to be placed in a public transportation ticket if her presidential term is about to end?". If you analyze carefully, the background of the ticket also contained her latest project, closing the loop of the LRT station with the MRT...I think. Isn't that its almost like a form of campaigning already? I'd say its the WRONG form of campaigning and advertising. If she wants to be recognized, why not just print a poster with her project and her face on it... to brag what she did about it and how much pesoses did she spent on it, rather on the LRT ticket (with her face on it) which you sometimes keep in your wallet.

Another one is about the backing out of the local company for the computerized voting system project for the upcoming 2010 elections. When PGMA arrived from her so-called "business trip" (that included her family-- no, make it a clan, congressmen,etc), that company backed out for reasons about money. But I think that's not the reason. If PGMA is a good president, she could have helped paying for that automated voting system project since she's got billion dollars in her bank. She'd do anything for the improvement of the country. According from some friends, there was a given due date for that local company to settle and decide well on this matter with the foreign company or else, at 2010, the elections will be as it is before-- manual vote counting, etc. That means, the culprits of our nation can freely do their job of making unimaginable ruckus in the elections. think dirty. they could have the buying of votes (through their own form of goodwill), threaten the poll watchers or the voters,etc.) I am saying this because I am concerned. As a part of the first timer voters in the coming 2010 elections, we would like to exercise our freedom and rights. The right to vote, the right to elect who do we think are rightful, freedom of speech, and the right to have a good future. I'm not doing this not just because I am part of akomismo.org.. no, that's just a part of it. I want to make a difference to this nation, Rizal has fought hard for. My Joseriz class made me realize that until now, this country is enslaved from greed and corruption. Still haven't recovered from the cancer of the society. I do hope there will be a miracle. A miracle much like to what USA witnessed during Obama's victory in their elections.

This is one heck of a battle everyone's been fighting for. And these are the mountains we need to move in order to succeed. And I am encouraging the Filipino youth out there. yes... YOU (ages 18-above), to go register and vote this coming 2010elections.

XD oh yeah, we also had x2 drop in our server! sweet! but so far, i haven't gotten my rok pts. yet. D:

wokei. Classes in DLS-CSB had been suspended at around 8-9 am... we were having a class discussion in JOSERIZ when one of our classmates came in and there was a commotion outside. Then and there we learned that the classes are suspended by the CHED due to the H1N1 virus. According to the school, they found out that there's a case of the said epidemic in the main campus of the college... and so there... we went home as early as 9am even if the decision was approved as early as 7:30 am. See how late that is? i was at school as early as 7am and yet i didn't hear any news about it... we were even discussing that at class that DLS-CSB won't be joining those schools who suspended their classes. gawd! and now, classes will be resumed on June 18. T___T that is sooo lame!!

finally! i had the chance (and the motivation) to write another blogpost here...

things have been pretty much tougher this time... and in both worlds... yeap, ragnarok and real life...

well here's the dish, recently Ragnarok Valhalla faced the issue about the instant millionaire due to the tickets in one event they made and gawd! after people had been ranting and shouting out in the kingdom of Midgard, a rollback has been decreed ... and that means zenny,items,lvl/experience will be rolled back except for rok points which will be reimbursed! argh! this is really crap. i am really brooding over it coz i wasted a lot of time and money leveling up my main character in the game then what??? all those will be gone!!! grrrr. i'm really gonna lose that mood to level up Nire.

reality: hello school!!! summer is finally over and so are my boring days at home doing nothing but playing ragnarok, cooking and watching tv. and heck... I'm a frosh no more. hello sophomore days! @_@ god. my debut's really coming upclose... i can feel the tension and pressure. in terms of fashion, i'm really having a taste on clothes that are hmmm... kinda comfortable yet fashionable... and girly at the same time haha. as for him..... i'm trying to avoid him now. even his ex-gf or whatever. i don't wanna ruin their lovey-dovey moments with one another. plus it was definitely painful seeing him again last week... it was like he's so sweet yet couldn't or wouldn't give me kisses or warm long hugs anymore. he doesn't even share stories and what's going on with him now. but now i'm pretty over it..i think.
